Enrico Onofri

At the age of 14, he picked up the violin for the first time and was immediately invited by N. Harnoncourt to join the Concentus Musicus.

After that, at the age of 22, he was selected as the concertmaster of J. Savart's orchestra.

He has been a soloist of "Il Giardino Armonico" since the age of 20, and the solo of the orchestra's famous "Four Seasons of Vivaldi" CD was recorded when he was only 26 years old.

Since then, Onofri's fame as a soloist has spread not only in Europe but throughout the world, mainly in Italian Baroque.

In recent years, he has frequently performed as a soloist and conductor with early music groups in various European countries, such as the Berlin Academy of Early Music, as well as modern orchestras such as the Lyon National Opera. As a solo activity, he launched "Ensemble Imaginarium", and the concert held in London in 2010 won first place in "Classical Performance 2010" by "The Telegraph" in the UK.

In 2019, he was appointed Principal Guest Conductor of the Haydn Philharmonic.

Currently a music partner of the same orchestra.
