Nobuyuki Takami ,Trumpet
Masaki Takami is an accomplished trumpeter known for his exceptional talent and distinguished career in the world of classical music.
After completing his studies at the Faculty of Music at Tokyo University of the Arts, he pursued further education at the Hanns Eisler College of Music in Berlin and the graduate school of Rostock University of Music, where he graduated with the highest honors and obtained the German National Performer Qualification.
His musical prowess was recognized early on, as evidenced by his 1st prize win in the 75th Music Competition of Japan in the trumpet category and 2nd prize in the 19th Japan Wind and Percussion Competition in the same category.
As a soloist, he has graced numerous stages both in Japan and abroad, performing alongside esteemed orchestras such as the Leipzig Central German Chamber Philharmonic, the Tokyo Philharmonic, the Kanagawa Philharmonic, and the Okayama Philharmonic. His versatility and skill have also led to engagements as a contract member in prestigious ensembles like the MDR (Central German Radio) Symphony Orchestra and the Leipzig Opera Orchestra, where he served as principal.
In addition to his orchestral commitments, he has performed as a supporting artist at renowned venues such as the Berliner Philharmoniker, the Berlin State Opera, the Berlin Symphony Orchestra, and the Gewandhaus Orchestra. He has also participated as an orchestra member in prominent music festivals both domestically and internationally, including the Saito Kinen, Seiji Ozawa Music Academy Opera Project, Tokyo University of the Arts Sinfonia UK Performance, Beppu Argerich Music Festival, PMF, and Stuttgart International Bach Academy.
His contributions to the arts have been acknowledged with prestigious awards such as the 9th Cultural Encouragement Award (2008) from the Fukutake Cultural Foundation and the 23rd Energia Music Award (2017) from the Energia Culture and Sports Foundation.
Currently, Masaki Takami is a valued member of the Osaka Philharmonic Orchestra and the Kawasaki Chamber Orchestra. He is also an artist registered with the Community Creation Public Hall Music Activation Support Project, where he actively promotes music appreciation in local communities. Additionally, he shares his expertise as a part-time lecturer at Senzoku Gakuen College of Music and serves as the director of the Kansai Trumpet Association.
