Jeroen Berwaltz (trumpet) has joined our invited artists.
He has won numerous awards, including the 1991 Maurice André International Music Competition and the 1997 Prague Spring International Music Competition, and since 1999 he has served as principal player of the Hamburg North German Radio Symphony Orchestra. His repertoire ranges from baroque music to classical music, contemporary music, and jazz.In 2013, he performed the world premiere of Toshio Hosokawa's "In the Fog" with the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Jun Märkl at the Suntory Foundation for the Arts "Summer Festival". He is a world-famous trumpet player who has made brilliant achievements in Japan, such as winning the Odaka Prize for his monthly work. Most recently, he came to Japan as a member of the United Euro Brass Quintet, and the tour was a great success.
