Hans Christian Andersen (1805-1875)
Hans Christian Andersen, born in 1805 in Odense, Denmark, to a poor shoemaker's family, published his first novel, The Improvisational Poet, at the age of 30. This work received a considerable response at the time of its release, and was translated and published in various parts of Europe, becoming Andersen's career. In the same year, he published a collection of children's stories. After that, he published more than 150 fairy tales until he died at the age of 70, including "Thumbahime Hime", "Mermaid Hime", "Ugly Duckling" and "Naked King". Due to the number of his works, he is loved by people all over the world as the “King of Fairy Tales”. In addition to fairy tales, he has also published works such as plays and poems. Skilled with his hands, he still has 1,500 paper cutouts to this day.

Carl August Nielsen (1865-1931)
A Danish composer born in 1865 in Norle Lünderse on the island of Funen, a rural area just 12 km away from Andersen's hometown of Odense. Known as one of Denmark's most famous composers of symphonies, along with the three great Nordic composers Grieg and Sibelius.
In addition to six symphonies (particularly Nos. 4 and 5), he composed three concertos, orchestral works, operas, chamber music, instrumental music, and art songs. On the other hand, he left many songs and choral songs for the masses, and these are widely spread and sung in Danish schools and homes even today. He was in charge of the horn and trumpet in the Odense military band, and after passing the composition department of the Copenhagen Conservatory, he worked on studies such as violin sonatas and string quartets during his time at the conservatory.
In 1889, he became a violinist of the Royal Theater Orchestra, and successively served as director of the Royal Theater and director of the Royal Copenhagen Conservatory. He also worked as a conductor in a music association.
Representative works include Symphony No. 4 "Immortal" (1916), Clarinet Concerto, Violin Concerto and many others.
