[Alessandro Beverari - Clarinet]

Born in Verona in 1988. Began playing the clarinet at the age of 9. Graduated with the highest score from the Dal Abaco Conservatory in Verona in 2009. Debuted with the Arena di Verona, Verona's leading orchestra, in 2008, performing Mozart's Clarinet Concerto. From 2009 to 2011, studied with Paolo Beltramini at the Piacenza Conservatory (Italy). From 2012 to 2016, studied with Romain Guyot at the Conservatory of Music in Geneva, obtaining a master's degree. Since 2016, studied with Alessandro Carbonare at the Santa Cecilia Conservatory in Rome. Has won most of the major Italian clarinet competitions. One of Beverari's specialties is chamber music, and regularly performs with pianist Miyuki Ishii and other ensembles. He has also participated in the Sapporo Pacific Music Festival conducted by Gergiev, Jun Merkel, and Andris Poga. Since 2017, he has been the principal clarinetist of the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra and lives in Tokyo. In recent years, he has won the Marco Fiorindo International Clarinet Competition (Turin), the Tokyo Music Competition, and the Audi Mozart Clarinet Competition (Rovereto), as well as the first place, Audience Award, and Hamanaka Award at the 4th Jacques Lancelot International Clarinet Competition (Yokosuka). In 2019, he won third place in the wind instruments (woodwinds and brass) category at the Tchaikovsky International Competition and first place at the Leoš Janacek International Competition.
