Vida, Gansch & Paul

"Coincidences make the best stories" (Thomas Gansch)

What would happen if brass instruments were freed from musical notation, genre, and convention? Thomas Gansch ( Tp. ), Leonhard Paul ( Tb. ), and Albert Wieder (Tu.) , all of whom made their name with the Mnozil Brass, may know the answer.

The trio was formed in 2015 as a substitute for the Mnozil Brass in Wieder's " Yes, Yes, Yes! ". On the tour, they played an encore at the end of every show. They returned to the stage as they liked, improvising, with almost no discussion, and had the best " communication. "

Eventually, they combined their worlds to create a dream-like trio program that included music from all sorts of tastes, such as Franz Schubert, Johann Strauss, Henry Mancini, Chuck Mangione, Toots Thielemans, George Michael, Udo Jurgens, Billy Joel, and many more.

They have all the bass, melody and harmony. Even the name "Wieder, Gansch & Paul" is enough!

It's not jazz, nor brass, nor classical, nor progressive, but it's freedom, dialogue, and infinite music!

In addition to countless collaborations with musicians from around the world and performances in nearly 50 countries, he has composed for various ensembles in addition to the Mnozil Brass.
