Risa YasudaAfter studying at Hokkaido Asahikawa Higashi High School and Tokyo University of the Arts, completed the master's course at the same university. For two years from 2002 while in graduate school, he studied at the Hungarian National Liszt Conservatory as a Rotary Foundation Ambassadorial Scholar and an overseas artist trainee of the Hokkaido Cultural Foundation.
1992 PTNA Piano Competition National Finals, E-class Encouragement Award.
1993 and 1994 Mainichi Student Music Competition (All Japan Student Music Competition Hokkaido Tournament) 1st place for 2 years in a row.
1998 Settsu Music Festival Little Camellia Competition 1st place overall, special prize, Osaka Governor's Award.
Performed with the Osaka Century Symphony Orchestra at the same recommended concert.
2000 Co-starred with the Sapporo Symphony Orchestra at the Newcomers' Concert recommended by the Japan Federation of Musicians.
Performed with the Tokyo University of the Arts Morning Concert with the University of the Arts Philharmonia.
2003 2nd prize at the Vienna International Pianist Competition (Austria).
2005 Appeared in Bösendorfer Joint Recital Vol.
Asahikawa City Newcomer Encouragement Award.
2006 Invited as an official violin class pianist of Professor Michael Flischenschlager (Honorary President of the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna) at the Mozarteum International Summer Academy (Salzburg), and performed at various venues during the Salzburg Festival. Since then, he has been invited to the Mozarteum every summer during the Salzburg Festival.
In 2008, he was selected as a pianist representing Hokkaido at the Hokkaido Toyako Summit PR event "Gaiya Night" (Tokyo) and gave a concert.
2010 Became the first Japanese accompanist at the Fritz Kreisler International Violin Competition (Vienna).
Performed chamber music with Austrian Bank Artist of the Year winners at the Asahikawa Vienna International Violin Seminar 10th Anniversary Concert "Reverberation".
Appeared in the Geidai Project 2010 Piano Series "Schumann Chopin List".
2011 Appeared in the Liszt Conservatory/Tokyo University of the Arts Collaborative Concert commemorating the 200th anniversary of Liszt's birth.
Duo concert with Mr. Peter Schmidl (former principal clarinetist of the Vienna Philharmonic).
Invited to the Cervo Music Festival (Italy) and performed in a chamber music concert.
In addition to giving numerous solo recitals and chamber music concerts in Japan and overseas, he has performed with the Sapporo Symphony Orchestra and the Asahikawa Philharmonic Orchestra.
So far, he has studied piano with Ryokatsu Yonezawa, Shinnosuke Tashiro, Fumio Ishibashi, Kenji Watanabe, and Landsh István, and has studied chamber music with Kenji Watanabe, Akiyoshi Sako, Katsuya Matsubara, and Michael Frischenschlager. Attended master classes by C. Elfe, A. Kemenesh, and E. Mogilevski in Belgium, Austria, etc.
Since 2006, she has been a part-time lecturer at Fuji Women's University for four years.
Part-time lecturer at Tokyo University of the Arts and Sapporo Otani University.
