Masako Koga (piano)

Masako Koga, piano
Studied under Akiko Teranishi and Hideo Saito at Toho Gakuen University. After completing two years at the same university, he studied abroad at the Mozarteum of the Salzburg State University of Music. Studied under H. Rygraf, P. Sylhaussky, and S. Vegue. In 1976, he entered the University of Music and Performing Arts in Hannover, Germany, where he studied under Mr. Reigraf. In 1978, he qualified for the national examination and studied under P. Entremont at a summer course in Saint-Jean-Drutz. In 1981, he passed the national examination with the highest award. Held concerts in Saga and Fukuoka. Assistant to Mr. Ligraf's master class at Toho Gakuen. In 1989, he gave a duo recital with Mr. R. Braun of Cologne University of Music. In 1990, he won the Saga Prefecture Music Association Award. 1992, 1993, 1995, 1999, 2003, 2006 and 2009 gave recitals in Tokyo. In 1997, he was invited by the Japan Kodai Association National Convention to give recitals and open piano seminars. In November 2004, he received the Saga Shimbun Cultural Encouragement Award. Received the 2010 Saga Arts and Culture Award. In addition to giving numerous solo recitals in Austria, Germany, and Hannover, he has worked as an assistant to Mr. Reigraf, a lecturer at the Kunitachi College of Music in Hanover, and is currently a professor at the Faculty of Culture and Education, Saga University.
