Profile
Born in 1981. Started playing the piano at the age of 3. After graduating from Kanagawa Prefectural Kibougaoka High School, graduated from Tokyo University of the Arts, Department of Music, Department of Instrumental Music, with the Doseikai Award and the Japan Piano Tuners Association Award, and completed the master's course at Tokyo University of the Arts. Completed the Konzert Diplom at Zurich University of the Arts Graduate School with the highest honors, and completed the Solisten Diplom at the same university.Winner of the Suita Music Competition and 2nd place in the Kanagawa Music Competition. Won the DUTTWELER-HUG competition. 3rd prize and special jury prize at the 16th International Brahms Competition, soloist of the Brahms Piano Concerto at the Great Hall of the Mozarteum in Salzburg. Received the best co-performer award at the Friendship German Lied Competition.
He has performed with Kanagawa Philharmonic Orchestra, Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra, Ondine Chamber Orchestra, Yokohama City University Orchestra, Ichikawa Symphony Orchestra, Ensemble Figaro, Yokohama City Philharmonic, Junge Philharmonic Salzburg, and Zurich University of the Arts Orchestra.
From 2011 to 2013, he held recitals in the Tokyo metropolitan area, Germany, Switzerland, etc., including the performance of Beethoven's complete piano sonatas in the "Beethoven Project". . He has also appeared in various joint concerts in Japan and overseas, such as the Tokyo University of the Arts Piano Series and the Liszt Festival in Omotesando. In addition to his solo work, he is also active in chamber music with vocal, wind, and stringed instruments.
Naohito Fukaya, Hideo Sugiura, Haruna Hirao, Mioko Kato, Ichiro Kato, Hitoshi Kobayashi, Akiyoshi Sako, and Hans-Jrg Strub have played piano; Studied under Konrad Richter and Urlich Koella. In addition, domestic and foreign master class

In 2013, he released his debut CD "Ryu plays Schumann, Schumann, Brahms" (FLCP-21023) (Record Geijutsu Semi-Special Edition).
Since 2010, he has been teaching younger students as a part-time lecturer at the piano department of Tokyo University of the Arts.
