Kana Kashihara, piano

Born in Kanagawa prefecture. Started playing the piano at the age of 4. 48th All Japan Student Music Competition Junior High School Division Encouragement Award. In 1995, she entered Toho Girls' Senior High School, majoring in piano. 12th Kanagawa Music Competition Kawasaki City Mayor Award. Performed with the Kanagawa Philharmonic Orchestra. Graduated from Toho Girls High School Music Department. Appeared in the graduation concert.
In 1998, he entered the Toho Gakuen University Music Department, Department of Music, majoring in piano. 2nd place in the 10th Suita Music Competition. 3rd place in the 19th Iizuka Rookie Music Competition. Graduated from Toho Gakuen University, Faculty of Music, Department of Performance, majoring in piano. Appeared in the graduation concert. After completing the graduate course at Toho Gakuen University, he received a scholarship from the Rohm Music Foundation in 2005 to study at the Hungarian National Liszt Conservatory. While studying in Italy, won the 1st prize at the 2nd Candelo City International Competition, 1st prize at the 1st Euterpe International Competition, and the Genmagreco Barberius Special Prize. Aired on Italian television. 1st place and special prize at the 12th Romanian International Professional Piano Competition. Invited to Italy for solo recitals and concerts at the Liszt Conservatory. Selected as a soloist for the 2009 Hungary-Japan Friendship Year Concert certified by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, she performed with the Hungarian Radio Symphony Orchestra and the Friendship Memorial Orchestra consisting of students from the Liszt Conservatory.
Returned to Japan in 2009. In the same year, he held a recital at Oji Hall in Ginza, which was well received.
In 2010, she appeared in the Kawai Omotesando Toho Gakuen Salon Concert Series, and also appeared on NHK-FM "Meikyoku Recital". He has studied under Reiko Matsuzaki, Akiko Nambu, Chisato Ogino, Yasushi Hirose, Mikhail Voskresensky, and Georges Nardl.
Currently a part-time lecturer at Toho Gakuen College of Art.
