Chiharu Taguchi

In 2010, the recital at Oji Hall was highly acclaimed as follows.

After studying at Tokyo University of the Arts Music High School, graduated from Tokyo University of the Arts Faculty of Music, Department of Instrumental Music. Completed master's course at the same university.
Received the 22nd Nippon Cultural Broadcasting Music Award. Won the gold prize at the 29th Viotti International Music Competition in Italy. Studied under Beveridge Webster at the Juilliard School in New York. After that, a recital was held at Carnegie Hall in New York. In addition to receiving high praise from the New York Times, he has held recitals in New York, Massachusetts, etc., and has been well received.
So far, he has studied under Hiroshi Tamura, M Muntz, Puis Grossier, and J Chandor. Performed with the Japan Philharmonic Orchestra, Tokyo Symphony Orchestra, Shinsei Japan Symphony Orchestra, Sapporo Symphony Orchestra, etc.
Recently, CD production of live recordings of recitals at Casals Hall (2001) and Oji Hall (2007, 2010). Held “Charm of Piano”, “Duo and Solo”, “Masterpiece Concert” at Yokohama Museum of History. Joint recitals in Tokyo, Yokohama, Sapporo, Hakodate, and Takikawa. Performed at a concert commemorating the 200th anniversary of Schumann's birth in Zwickau, Germany.
Currently, in addition to teaching juniors at Ueno Gakuen University Junior College, he also serves as a judge for competitions.
