Profile

Born in Tokyo. Currently based in London, he has performed in more than 40 cities around the world, including the United Kingdom and Japan, the United States, Italy, Spain, Austria, Hungary, and South America. His outstanding technique and ever-changing timbre have earned him a worldwide reputation. In March 2018, the first album "Kotoba Kotoba" was released, attracting attention in various music magazines.
At the age of 15, he performed with the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra after winning first place in the junior high school category and the Grand Prix in all categories at the PIARA Piano Competition National Convention. In addition to his energetic solo activities both in Japan and abroad, he has been passionate about outreach activities since high school. With an original point of view, he is facing new frontiers in music. In addition, taking advantage of her trilingual skills, her master classes in various countries have also been well received. In 2017, he served as the coordinator for the Super Global High School Project (SGH), which was certified by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology of the Tokyo University of the Arts Music High School, and contributed greatly to the success of the project in its first year.
Graduated from Tokyo University of the Arts after attending the High School of Music attached to the Faculty of Music, Tokyo University of the Arts. While in school, studied for a year at the Liszt Conservatory in Hungary. Studied at the Royal Academy of Music in London as a scholarship student. He has received the Walter McFarlan Award, the Nancy Dickinson Award, the Maud Hornsby Award, and the Dip RAM Award, and graduated at the top of his class. In 2016, he became the first Japanese to receive an advanced diploma. He has worked with the late Toyoaki Matsuura, Kenji Watanabe, and Christopher Elton on piano, Michael Dusek on chamber music, Fumiko Ichiyanagi and Rodrik Chadwick on musicology, Carol Selasi on period instrument performance, and Dominique Aldiss on improvisation. Studied under each of them.
After being the first Japanese Young Steinway Artist, he was certified as a Steinway Artist in 2018. In March of the same year, a recording was made at the Steinway Headquarters in New York for the high-resolution self-playing piano "Spirio", which has been distributed worldwide since May.
