Ian Bousfield (trombone)

One of the most influential brass players of our time, he has made a name for himself as a soloist, conductor and educator, and has served as principal trombonist with the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra and the London Symphony Orchestra for a total of 30 years. He has been a top class trombone player for 35 years. As a soloist, he has performed with the Vienna Philharmonic, the London Symphony Orchestra, the London Philharmonic and the BBC Philharmonic with Riccardo Muti, Michael Tilson Thomas, Sir Neville Marriner and Kent Nagano. . He has also made numerous recordings for EMI, Chandos and Camerata.
