Profile
Junko Takahii (piano)Started playing the piano at the age of 3. Graduated from Ochanomizu University, majoring in piano performance. Graduated from the same graduate school of humanities as a piano performance major.
Studied artist diploma at Indiana University South Bend. Studied at the studio of Mr. Alexandre Thorase.
Participated in the summer seminar of the Vienna University of Music and the Gifu Liszt Conservatory master class. Passed the Ienaga Piano Audition.
Studied piano with the late Naoko Endo, the late Shuichiro Endo, Reiko Tanaka, Meinhard Prinz, George Vatina-Ze, and the late Alexandra Trase.
In 2001, he started a solo recital series. He has participated in many joint concerts, planned and performed talk concerts, played accompaniment, interpreted lessons, and performed concerts for the four-handed piano unit "Concervalier".
He is the president of Piano Labo Pafoma. He is a member of the Kawai Music Education Society, the All Japan Piano Teachers Association (Pitina), and the Japan-Austria Cultural Association.
