Profile

Yuko HISAMOTO, piano

He is highly acclaimed as a pianist who combines intelligence and sensibility, delicacy and dynamism.
After studying instrumental music (piano major) at the Faculty of Music, Tokyo University of the Arts, completed the master's course at the same university.
"Haydn and Mozart" (Recorded by Kojima) released in 2009 was selected as one of the Mainichi Shimbun CD selections.
He has performed with orchestras such as the Yomiuri Nippon Symphony Orchestra, the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra, the Japan Philharmonic Orchestra, and the Kanagawa Philharmonic Orchestra. He has also appeared in chamber music concerts, including with the Berlin String Quartet and the Sawa Quartet.
Based on his performance experience, he also worked on writing, and published "Mozart's Piano Music Research" (Ongakunotomosha), "Performance Methods by Composer - U Mozart" (Chopin).
Associate Professor at Kunitachi College of Music, Director of Japan Latvian Music Association, Advisor of Ceremore Concert Hall Musashino.
