Eri Takimura ,Violin

Born in Kobe City.

After securing 1st prize at the 54th All Japan Student Music Competition National Convention, she continued to distinguish herself by claiming victories at prestigious competitions such as the 3rd Tokyo Music Competition, the 8th Forval Scholarship Stradivarius Competition, and the 77th Music Competition of Japan.

Her talent as a violinist has been showcased through collaborations with numerous orchestras, including the Kansai Philharmonic Orchestra, Sendai Philharmonic Orchestra, Tokyo Symphony Orchestra, Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra, New Japan Philharmonic Orchestra, Yomiuri Nikkyo Philharmonic Orchestra, Japan Philharmonic Orchestra, Osaka Symphony Orchestra, and Geidai Philharmonic Orchestra.

In addition to her captivating solo recitals and chamber music performances held at various venues, she actively engages in outreach activities as an artist for the Regional Creation Public Hall Music Revitalization Project.

Recognized for her artistic excellence, she was selected as a Chanel Pygmalion Days artist in 2010 and became a member of the Kioi Sinfonietta Tokyo season.

Having completed her education at the esteemed Tokyo University of the Arts, where she graduated at the top of her class and later completed her graduate studies, she garnered accolades such as the Ataka Award, Acanthus Award, and Mitsubishi Estate Award during her time on campus.

In the fall of 2011, she embarked on a transformative journey to Europe, where she pursued further studies at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna, culminating in her graduation in the summer of 2013 with the support of a grant from the Rohm Music Foundation. Throughout her time in Europe, she honed her skills through participation in master classes and showcased her talent as a selected soloist with the Philharmonie Baden-Baden at the Carl Flesch Academy in Germany. Her outstanding performance earned her the prestigious "Brahms Preis" from the Brahms Society of Baden-Baden.

Her contributions to the cultural landscape have been acknowledged with awards such as the 2013 Kobe City Cultural Encouragement Award and the 2014 Sakai Tokitada Music Award.

In January 2015, she joined the esteemed ranks of the Yomiuri Nippon Symphony Orchestra as principal second violinist, further solidifying her position as a distinguished artist in the classical music realm.
