Profile

Born in Washington. Graduated from the Curtis Institute of Music. While in school, he participated in the Chigiana Conservatory master class in Italy and received an honorary diploma. Further study at Indiana University graduate school.

He has won competitions all over the United States and has performed with many orchestras. He has won numerous international competitions, including Menuhin (UK), Carl Fleche (UK), Montreal (Canada), and Queen Elisabeth (Belgium). In 1992, he won the bronze medal at the 5th Japan International Competition, and his Sibelius Concerto was broadcast on NHK-TV.

He has performed with the Baltimova Symphony Orchestra, the Washington National Symphony Orchestra, the Philadelphia Orchestra (all in the United States), the Brussels Radio Symphony Orchestra (Belgium), the Gunma Symphony Orchestra, and the Bovslava Martinu Symphony Orchestra (Czech Republic). Also appeared in recital programs on NHK and RTB (Brussels). Released solo CD "A Touch of America" ​​in 1996, attracting attention from all walks of life.

With a rich career on the international stage, his natural flair and brilliant technique create a charming and colorful atmosphere in his rich music. Studied under Ivan Garamian, Franco Gugli, and Toshiya Eto.
