Jorge Luis Prats, piano

After graduating from the National University of Arts in Cuba, he studied under R. Kerrer at the Moscow Conservatory, and under P. Badura-Skoda and M. Taliaferro at the Conservatory of Music in Paris and the University of Music and Music in Vienna. At the age of 21, he won the Grand Prix at the Long-Thibault International Competition, and many other awards such as the first prize at the Amadeo Roldan International Competition. He has performed with world-famous orchestras such as the Royal Philharmonic and the BBC Symphony Orchestra. He has served as a juror at international competitions in the United States and around the world, and has taught at the National University of Columbia, the Havana National School of the Arts, the Mexican Art Center, the Cordoba Conservatory, and the Toronto Royal Conservatory. The repertoire is wide and the CD production is also diverse.
