Profile

Mao Fujita, piano
Started playing the piano at the age of 3, studied under Yuka Matsuyama, and has been studying under Hajime Matsuyama since the age of 9. Also, from the age of 1, received music education such as absolute pitch and rhythmic at the Ichionkai Music School.

In 2009, he won the Grand Prix of the 19th Japan Classical Music Competition National Convention, and participated in the "World Classic 2010" held in Taiwan as a representative of Japan, winning first place in the junior division.

2010 64th Student Music Concours of Japan Elementary School Division Tokyo Tournament 1st Place, National Tournament 1st Place. In addition, she received the Nomura Award, Aiko Iguchi Award, Music Encouragement Award, and Yokohama Citizen Award (Audience Award).
In December 2010, she performed at the charity concert "Ikiru ~2010 Xmas Concert to Support Young Lives~" held at Minato Mirai Hall in Yokohama, and performed with the Kanagawa Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Shigeo Genda. (Poulenc Piano Concerto)

In July 2011, he invited winners of domestic and international music competitions held at the Mitaka City Performing Arts Center to perform at the 6th Young Sprouts Concert.
In July 2011, he performed with the Tokyo Symphony Orchestra conducted by Norichika Iimori at the "Summer Vacation Orchestra" held at the Saitama Kaikan Grand Hall. (Prokofiev Piano Concerto No.3)
In November 2011, he performed at the "64th All Japan Student Music Concours 1st Place Concert" held at Keio University Kyoseikan Fujiwara Hiroshi Memorial Hall.
In December 2011, he performed at the "MUSEUM CONCERT" held at Yamate Goethe Theater.

In May 2012, she performed at the "Gala Concert" sponsored by the Japan-Austria Cultural Association held at Kioi Hall.
In August 2012, he won a prize at the 13th Ettlingen International Competition in Germany.
In September 2012, he performed with the Tokyo Symphony Orchestra conducted by Naoto Otomo at the "Children's Subscription Concert" held at the main hall of Suntory Hall. (Prokofiev Piano Concerto No.3)
In November 2012, she performed at the "Salon Concert" for winners of the Mainichi Contest held at the Yokohama Hakuraku Salon.
December 2012, Dryad Piano Academy 1st prize.

In August 2013, he won the 1st prize at the 5th Rosario Marciano International Piano Competition in Vienna, Austria, as well as the Wagner Verdi Prize.

Currently in 3rd year of Junior High School at Columbia International School, Saitama Prefecture.
