Profile

Willem Bronze, piano
A famous pianist from the Netherlands. The depth of his inner expression is unparalleled. In Amsterdam, he studied piano with Karel Hilsum and organ with Pete Kay. After that, he studied under Louis Hiltblanc at the Geneva Conservatory. Graduated with a unanimous first prize, and received the Paderewski Memorial Filipinetti Award at the same time. He hosts Eisebius Kring and is active in recitals and chamber music concerts around the world. Beginning with the Concertgebouw Orchestra conducted by Haitink, he deepened his international career by co-starring with the Rotterdam Philharmonic, the London Philharmonic, and the Orchester de la Suisse Romande. In April 2003, he was awarded the Order of Merit by the Queen of the Netherlands. Until 2004, he was president of the Dutch Association of Piano Educators for 13 years. In April 2008, he was invited to give a lecture at the Neuhaus Festival in Moscow, and held master classes in various European countries such as the Netherlands and Germany, as well as in Russia. The Mozart CD released in 2006 entered the top ranking in the Netherlands. Held a concert of all songs from JS Bach's Well-Tempered Vol.
First visit to Japan in 1982. Since 1996, he has been coming to Japan every year to give recitals, perform with orchestras, and perform concerts at Tokyo University of the Arts, Toho Gakuen, Kunitachi College of Music, Showa College of Music, Senzoku Gakuen University, Elisabeth College of Music, and Nagoya College of Music. Performs recitals, public lessons and lectures at music colleges and music high schools throughout Japan. In 2001 and 2007, he served as a judge at the Sendai International Competition, and in 2008, at the Schumann International Competition. In March 2002, he was invited to join the Japan Piano Education Federation and became a special member the following year.
Currently professor at the Amsterdam Conservatory.



Wakana Shimizu, piano
Began playing the piano at the age of three, and at the age of eight performed Mozart's Piano Concerto No. 12 KV414 with an orchestra. In 2004, at the age of 13, he participated in the masterclasses of Willem Bronze and Vladimir Tropp in Amsterdam for the first time. Played Haydn's Sonata Hob.XVI/50 at the final concert, broadcast on Dutch radio.
In 2009, he entered the piano department of the Amsterdam Conservatory and studied under Willem Bronze. In 2010, he held a recital with Mr. Willem Bronze at the Amsterdam Nordkirche. In 2011, he was invited to perform at the Concertgebouw Hall in Amsterdam. In the same month, she performed at a charity concert for the support of the Great East Japan Earthquake organized by the Yuri Egorov Foundation. In 2012, she performed at the Bethany Kloster in Amsterdam and was broadcast on Dutch radio. In 2013, she performed in a concert at the Goethe Foundation in Amsterdam organized by the Dutch newspaper NRC-Handelsblad.
Currently, he has appeared in many concerts in various parts of the Netherlands.
He has studied under Hideo Sugiura, Atsuko Ogasawara, Satomi Tanizawa, Mr. and Mrs. Willem Bronze, and Yasuko Kurosu.
In 2013, he graduated from the Amsterdam Conservatory with honors. Currently enrolled in the master's course at the Amsterdam Conservatory.
