Profile
Erika Hanamura,violinBorn in Tokyo. Began playing the violin at an early age, studying under Koko Shinozaki, and from the age of nine, under Toshiya Eto and Angela. Entered Toho Gakuen High School and won the All Japan Student Music Competition. After graduating from Toho Gakuen University, studied under R. Friend at the Royal College of Music. Received a performance diploma and an honorary award from the same university. Performed in various places including the recital series of St. Martin-in-the-Fields.
After returning to Japan, he gave recitals at Ongaku no Tomo Hall, Tokyo Bunka Kaikan, Oji Hall, and many other solo and chamber music concerts.
So far, he has learned Renaissance and Baroque styles and playing techniques from Mr. R. Ricci, W. Hink, and Mr. C. Brizi of early music in master classes.
As a soloist, she performed in Prague, Czech Republic with the Prague Radio Symphony Orchestra conducted by V. Valek and was broadcast on national radio. In 2005, Tchaikovsky's concerto with the Warsaw Symphony Orchestra at the Warsaw Philharmonic in Poland received a standing ovation and was highly praised by conductor and composer M.Seven. In 2007, he performed with the Berlin Sinfonietta at the Berliner Philharmoniker Kammersal on his recommendation. Since then, he has performed with the St. Petersburg State Academic Symphony Orchestra, the Balkan Chamber Orchestra at the Skopje Music Festival, the Sophia Philharmonic Orchestra, the West Bohemia Symphony Orchestra, the Ruse Philharmonic Orchestra at the Sofia Music Festival, etc., and has achieved success in various parts of Europe. .
He met the pianist J. Demus, and was greatly influenced by his method of interpreting works and playing methods, and deepened his quest from Bach, Viennese classics and romantics to Franck and Debussy. Since 2007, he has performed as a duo at the Mirabell Palace in Salzburg and elsewhere, and has received high acclaim for his duo concerts at Tsuda Hall and Oji Hall in 2009.
In recent years, he has also been researching Persian traditional music, traditional instruments, and dance, tracing back to the origins of music and musical instruments.
The instrument used is a Stradivarius made in 1685, the same year that JS Bach was born.
