Quatuor Arthur-Lablanc String Quartet
The Arthur Leblanc String Quartet is a widely recognized ensemble in Canada.
Founded in 1988 after the great Canadian violinist Arthur Leblanc with the cooperation of the Canadian Cultural Association, Radio Canada and the University of Moncton. Since 2005, while enrolled as a resident quartet at Laval University in Quebec City, Quebec, he is in charge of the university's string orchestra and chamber department as a visiting professor. He continues to pursue excellence as an artist and has performed both domestically and internationally, performing at major concert halls in Canada (Carnegie Hall, Suntory Hall, Hakuju Hall, Sogakudo in Japan, etc.) and many other festivals, including the Ottawa Festival and the Orford Festival. , Festival of the Sound, Domen Forge, Ravinia (USA) and Santander (Spain). In addition, prominent artists include cellists Janos Starker, Tsuyoshi Tsutsumi, pianists Dan Tyson, Anton Querti, Mark-André Hamre, Stiephan Ramle, clarinetists James Campbell, Shostakovich SQ, Orford SQ, Co-starring with Cotian SQ, other chamber music workshops, activities contributing to master classes, and achievements to improve chamber music, commissioned contemporary music performances, and commissioned premiere performances from Canadian and foreign composers. many. Since the quartet's formation, the Canadian Cultural Association, CBC Radio, a DVD of Ravel's string quartets, and the 2013 Shostakovich string quartet complete set of 15 pieces and 6 discs have been completed.
