Asami Akutsu (soprano)Graduated from the Department of Vocal Music, Faculty of Music, Tokyo University of the Arts. Studied under Chieko Goto, Keiko Yasui, Shigeo Harada, Yoko Oshima, Sumiya Torikawa, Bruno Rufo, and Luciano Bertagnolio. Studying at home and abroad.
Her singing voice was recognized by the master Jörg Demus, and in the summer of 2010 she performed with him at the Jörg Demus Recital in Salzburg. He has also performed in concerts in other countries. He is praised for his "beautiful voice" and "natural musical talent".
His repertoire includes songs by Handel, Mozart, Schubert, Schumann, R. Strauss, Mozart's "The Magic Flute" Pamina, Verdi's "Rigoletto" Gilda, etc. As for religious music, Bach's "Christmas Oratorio", Mozart's "Requiem", "Coronation" Mass”, Beethoven’s “9th”, “Misa in C major”, Fauré’s “Requiem”, Rutter’s “Requiem”, etc. Appeared in La Folle Journée au Japon in 2011 and 2013.
Jörg Demus (piano)
Born in Austria in 1928. He started playing the piano at the age of 6 and made his debut at the Musikverein in Vienna at the age of 14. Learned from Y. Nat, W. Gieseking, W. Kempf, AB Michelangeli, etc. After winning the Busoni International Competition (Bolzano, Italy) in 1956, he started performing all over the world and was invited to many music festivals in various places. There are many co-stars. He has performed many times with E. Schwarzkopf, D. Fischer-Dieskau, P. Schreier, etc., and has given many piano duo concerts with P. Badura-Skoda. More than 350 LPs, more than 200 CDs, videos and DVDs have been highly acclaimed internationally, and there are many recordings of songs, including the historical masterpiece Schubert's "Winter Trip" with Fischer-Dieskau. His publications include "The Adventures of Performance Interpretation" and "Beethoven's Sonatas" co-authored with Skoda. He is also active in composing music and has released many works. In 2006, he was awarded the First Class Honorary Cross of Arts and Culture by the Austrian government. In 2008, when he turned 80, he released a live recording of his 80th birthday recital in Tokyo (PAMP-1037).
