Profile

●Michiyo HANEISHI

Born in Utsunomiya City, Tochigi Prefecture. After studying at the High School of Music attached to the Faculty of Music, Tokyo University of the Arts, he graduated from the same university at the top of his class and received the Ataka Award and the Acanthus Music Award. Graduated from the same graduate school at the top of his class and won the Kreutzer Prize. Selected for the Concert Marronnier 21 Piano Division, won the Japan Chamber Music Competition, won first prize in the Yachiyo Music Competition Piano Division, and received the Mayor's Award.
As a soloist, he has performed recitals and orchestral concertos. Also, as an ensemble pianist, he has performed with many vocal and instrumental soloists in Japan and overseas, including J=Y. Frumeau (sax). In 2018, a CD co-starring with up-and-coming saxophonist Makoto Hondo won the 56th Record Academy Award in the Wind / Wind / Percussion Special Category of "Record Geijutsu Magazine", and in 2020, the New Japan Philharmonic Orchestra. Together with Eriko Sasaki (Vn) of the troupe, she is expanding her range of activities such as performing in Essen, Germany.
In addition, under the theme of "What I can do with the piano", I am continuing the "Michiyo Haneishi Plus Series", which is planned and composed of a unique program that interweaves not only piano solos but also ensembles. The guest players who welcome each time are also a gorgeous lineup.
She has studied piano under Hideko Oyama, Shoko Nakayama, and Michiko Ta, chamber music under Ichiro Nohira and Nobuko Yamazaki, and accompaniment under Takehiko Yamada.
Currently an accompaniment researcher at Tokyo University of the Arts, Department of Wind and Percussion Instruments.
