Profile

Born in Tokyo. After serving as a member of the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra in New York and principal trombonist of the Albany Symphony Orchestra, he has been principal trombonist of the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra in the United States since 2002. In 2006, he received the Arion Encouragement Award from the Arion Foundation in Japan. In 2008, he was commended by the Japanese Consulate in Chicago for his contribution to mutual understanding between Japan and the United States. In 2017, she was recognized by the Milwaukee Business Journal as the most influential woman in education, and in 2020 she received the International Trombone Association's highest honor, the ITA Award, for her creative artistry.
