Profile

Yoshiyuki Wando (saxophone) Born in Haramachi City, Fukushima Prefecture (now Minamisoma City). Graduated from the Showa University of Music Strings, Wind and Percussion Instruments Performance Course, Saxophone major with a special award. After completing the master's course at the university's graduate school, he was awarded the Shimohachikawa Keisuke Fund and the Showa University of Music Doreikai Fund, and went to France as an overseas music trainee with a scholarship. He studied at the Versailles Conservatoire and graduated from the highest course of the conservatory with the highest grades unanimously approved by the judges. Studied saxophone under Toru Furumizo, Yasuhito Tanaka, and V. David. In addition to being selected for competitions, he has been recommended and performed at many newcomer debut concerts. As a soloist, he has performed with many musical groups, including the Sendai Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Yuzo Toyama and the Showa College of Music Orchestra conducted by Kazuyoshi Tanaka. Focusing on solo and chamber music, he has developed a wide range of performance activities such as FM and TV appearances, and as a guest performer, he has appeared in the wind orchestra in Tokyo and major orchestras in Japan. The album "Le Chemin" released in August 2019 was recommended as a semi-selected album in a record art magazine, and it was said that <the derived sound is like the person's own voice> <the variety of musical narratives and presence is unparalleled>. Well received. In addition to his activities as a saxophonist, he is also focusing on training the next generation, and has a reputation for everything from individual instruction to brass band instruction, and is invited to all over the country as a lecturer. He presides over and conducts the Free Maison Wind Orchestra and Blaster Academy Fukushima. After graduating from Tokyo College of Music, completed the course of the graduate school accompaniment course. He has also been involved in many performances as an opera co-repetitioner. After working as a performance assistant at Senzoku Gakuen College of Music and as an assistant at the Faculty of Music at Ferris University, he is currently working as a freelancer.
