Haruyo Tsurusaki, ViolinAfter graduating from Tokyo University of the Arts, studied abroad in Paris. In 1978, he joined the Orchester National de Lyon, France. In May of this year, he organized a school-sponsored concert in which first graders narrated Poulenc's "Little Elephant Babar Story" (composed for piano, violin, cello, and saxophone), which was very well received.
He studied under Moriyasu Iso Kimi, Yozo Iwasaki, Joseph Calvet, and Gérard Poulet.

Naoki Tsurusaki, violoncello (cello)
70 years old this year. It has been 12 years since I retired from the Lyon National Opera in 2011. The zodiac has turned around. Using a 5-string cello commissioned by Mr. F. Cuyken and a late baroque bow made by Mr. C. Ryder in Paris this year, a pleasant baroque life began. There are those who say baroque no matter what, and those who play baroque because it's fashionable. I enjoy playing equal temperament and Beethoven piano sonatas as fast as I can (so very slowly) in my spare time. The composition is poor. S. Lee's "40 Melodic Etude" supervised and composed and arranged for the second cello accompaniment will be published from Zenon Music Publishing in August. A video created by Mr. Fumiaki Kono will be released on YouTube soon. On March 23rd (Sat) next year, a Bach unaccompanied recital will be held at Opera City. Studied the cello under Noriyuki Miki, Reine Frachaud, and Maurice Gendron.
