Profile

Fumio Ishibashi, piano
Born in Sapporo in 1962. In 1981, he entered the Hokkaido University of Education Sapporo branch school special subject teacher training course (music). In 1985, he appeared in a concert recommended by the Japan Federation of Musicians, and performed with the Sapporo Symphony Orchestra. Entered the Graduate School of Music, Tokyo University of the Arts. In 1987, he performed at the Tokyo Bunka Kaikan Recommended Newcomer Concert. Graduated from the same graduate school in 1988. Traveled to Germany and enrolled in the Meister Class at the University of Music and Performing Arts Munich. Completed the same class in 1990. Part-time lecturer (accompaniment) and music gymnasium (junior high school) at the same university. During this time, he performed in Germany and Switzerland. Returned to Japan in 1993. In 1994, he held his debut recital at the "Enren Concert 65" sponsored by the Japan Federation of Musicians, and since then he has been active in fields such as solo and chamber music. She has studied piano with Keiko Tate, Yoshihiko Tate, Haruko Takahashi, Masanobu Kimura, Genichi Numata, Katsumi Ueda, and Klaus Schilde, chamber music with Alexander Volkov, and song accompaniment with Norman Shetler. Currently a professor at Tokyo Gakugei University.
