NEC will hold the "15th NEC Charity Concert" on Sunday, January 24, 2016 at Muza Kawasaki Symphony Hall. At the "NEC Charity Concert," the NEC Tamagawa Symphonic Band, made up of employees from NEC and affiliated companies, will perform. On the day of the event, please enjoy the many songs that everyone from children to adults can enjoy. The purpose of this concert is to support activities that tackle social issues, and this time, we will raise funds at the venue to support the activities of "El Sistema Japan".
"El Sistema Japan" aims to provide dreams and hopes through music to children in Fukushima and Iwate prefectures, who have been affected physically and mentally by the nuclear power plant accident and tsunami after the Great East Japan Earthquake. We are promoting activities to promote the expansion of the venue. Musical instruments are provided free of charge to children who want them, and they can receive instruction from school music teachers and specialized musical instrument instructors. Currently, we have formed a cooperative system with Soma City in Fukushima Prefecture and Otsuchi City in Iwate Prefecture, and are actively working on the dreams and hopes of children who will lead the future, mainly at elementary schools .
In the aftermath of the Great East Japan Earthquake of March 11, 2011, NEC has named the NEC Group's Tohoku reconstruction support activities the "NEC 'TOMONI' Project." This concert will also be held as part of the "NEC "TOMONI" Project", and in addition to the performance of the NEC Tamagawa Symphonic Band, which is composed of NEC Group employees, it will be a hand-made concert in which NEC employee volunteers will participate in the operation .
